SpringWare™ WT

SpringWare™ WT is a remarkable tool for Principals and school leaders. It enables them to conduct classroom walk-throughs more efficiently, and to evaluate what they see more objectively. SpringWare WT runs on a Palm Pilot or Pocket PC to allow principals to easility conduct frequent classroom walk-throughs as part of their routine. Incorporating the California Standard for Teaching (CST) and references to the Cycle of Inquiry and California Best Practice Findings, SpringWare WT enables school leaders to focus on the standards and practices that make better teaching and learning a reality.
	SpringWare WT collects standardized information in a format that makes it easy to compare and evaluate your findings. It is as simple to use as a notepad, yet, when plugged into your office PC, permits school-wide assessment and comparisons, and helps ensure a high standard of teaching and learning throughout the school.
	SpringWare WT is fast because it allows the user to use sliding scale indictors and check boxes to record findings. Free-form
notes are also supported. SpringWare WT is available in a general version as well as an “EL specific” version. It can also be customized to incorporate your LEAP or other considerations. Use SpringWare WT

Palm OS Handheld Compatibility & System Requirements

• Palm OS device running Palm OS 3.5 – Palm OS 4.0 or higher recommended
• External storage media, high-resolution display (320x320 pixels or higher), and color display
• SpringWare WT can be used on some older devices running Palm OS 3.1. Some features in SpringWare WT, including layout view, field sizing, font formatting and decorative graphics will not work on older Palm OS’s.

Pocket PC Compatibility & System Requirements

• Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC
• Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC, Phone Edition
• Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC
• Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Phone Edition and 64 MB of fast RAM. This includes devices manufactured by HP, Dell, and Asus.
• Not all SpringWare WT features are supported on Pocket PC, and SpringWare WT is not supported on Windows Mobile Smartphone Edition.

To use SpringWare WT with a desktop database

• Windows 95/98/ME/NT 4.0/2000/XP with 64MB RAM
• Approx. 20MB Hard disk space
• CD ROM drive for installation
• Palm HotSync Manager software version 4.0 or higher (for Palm OS handhelds)
• ActiveSync 3.7 or higher (for Pocket PCs)
• Microsoft Access 2000 or higher An Access 2003 runtime is included in the SpringWare WT Evaluation Download and Electronic Versons. The Access 2003 runtime requires Windows XP, or Windows 2000 with SP2.
