DAIT Services
Our Approach:
Springboard Schools' works side-by-side with our partner districts to help them achieve remarkable improved results in student learning. It is our systemic approach that sets us apart from other providers.
Many years of research and expereince guide Springboard Schools' DAIT Teams. Our DAIT team leaders are successful former superintendents, assistant superintendents, and site adminsitrators with experience leading local and state reform efforts. Each Springboard Schools' DAIT team includes members with expertise in issues related to more effectively educating English Learners and Students with Disablities as well as the seven areas specified in the California Department of Education's DAIT strands.
Phase I: Introduction, Intake, and Planning
The intial analysis and planning phase of a DAIT partnership with Springboard Schools includes a critical research-based professional development component of district and school leaders on the key elements of systemic, standards-based reform in high-poverty settings
Phase II: Make a Plan and Begin Implementation
Many teachers and administrators these days are understandably discouraged and demoralized by declining resources and rising expectations. Springboard Schools’ coaches can help professionals caught in this trap regain a sense of control by embracing a challenging and achievable set of goals for their school and district, goals that include but reach beyond AYP.
Phase III: Review and Adjustment
All Springboard Schools’ DAIT partner districts engaged in a rigorous process of reform will be on the path toward accelerated and continuous improvement on AYP and other locally-determined measures.
DAIT Must do Math!
Springboard Schools will offer training and follow up coaching for California’s most popular mathematics texts. Springboard Schools’ training can be funded through SB472, and will address the varied learning needs of all pupils, particularly English learners and pupils with exceptional needs. Training will be enhanced by our commitment to best practices, cycles of inquiry and professional learning communities. By applying these research-proven strategies to the implementation of quality instructional materials, Springboard Schools will partner with school districts to deliver professional development that positively impacts classroom practice and student learning.
