Springboard Schools' Schools & Districts

All of the news about improving achievement and closing gaps and making it possible for all kids to get a good education wouldn’t amount to much if Springboard Schools was just working with the easy clients. And that is emphatically not the case. We work with some of the tough districts and schools in the state, from Fremont, where an influx of English learners presents a major challenge, to Santa Ana,
where more than 70% of the students are from low-income
families, to Fresno Unified, the state’s fourth-largest district,
where more than 28% of the students are learning English.

In the past year, Springboard Schools worked with 86 districts
serving 1,040,633 students, about one sixth of all the students
in California. Few other school reform organizations have such
an impact.

Here are the district with which we worked in the 2005-2006
school year:

[Springboard Schools] has driven home that we need to close to the achievement gap. We were aware of that before, but [Springboard Schools] takes it to a higher level with the amount of research they bring.
